My daughter thought she was setting the timer but set the microwave to run for 1 hour. Now microwave is dead no lights no display no power. Is there a reset, or a thermal fuse I can replace? And how would I go about doing this?

Ok you do have a fuse behind the control panel, which may or may not be your problem. I'm assuming the MW was empty? If you go to searspartsdirect website you can look at the breadown of your MW and see where the fuse is, you will want to check the fuse for continuity if none then replace with AP2631556 from this site(cheapest place to get parts most of the time).
Let us know whatelse we can do to help. If it looks like something you aren't comfortable with call a tech!!! there are some parts in there that can really "bite" you badly.

The cavity tco needs to be replaced or fixed. it is located behind the exhast grill. Take off the grill by removing the top 2 screws and sliding it to the left and then it will pull off. Then in the middle area, there is a metal plate held on by 1 screw. Remove the screw and the plate. Now over to the left, you can follow the 2 black wires, there is a small round device. Remove that. That is your cavity tco. You can try to freeze it to reset it, or order a new one.

Just tested fuse continuity on the main and hv fuses. Both are good-Can you be more specific on how to get to and remove tco-- allready removed cover the black wires run underneath something and come out in the back left side

When you took off the vent cover, and the metal cover behind that, do you see a small round motor right in front of you? It will be to the left and that, get a flashlight and shine in there, you should see it.

Is there a way to test resistance on the tco to determine if the sensor has failed-I have it in the freezer right now, but I would like to know if there is a way to know for sure which piece has truly failed

Basically it is open or it is closed. Doing a continuity check on the 2 leads will tell you if it is open or closed.
