I just replace the timer and the problem is still there. the connections also looked good. Would there be any bad connections that could cause this??

I would not be surprised if the new timer is defective. Unfortunately I can see it more and more often.

It will never drain if the lid switch is bad.

It seems to spin now...............
I tried it on small load and it didn't spin.
Then I washed clothes in it on large load and it does.
I appreciate all the help. I got these for free and they are in good shape. I didn't want to spend $700 and new equipment when cleaning them up and $150 in supply lines/drain hose/timer will get me hopefully a year or two.
Thanks again guys......

Stephen,
Can you be more specific on the problem?
What is the complete model number of the washer?
Gene.
