I have an Amana side by side that doesn't seem to be cold enough in the freezer. Sorry, I'm at work and don't have the model number with me... The coils are clean and the condenser fan isn't spinning. Obviously the fan not spining will cause the freezer to run hot but the fan isn't binding, everything I read says that if it is binding, replace the motor. I did push the blades by hand and it did begin to spin, although very slowly. Once it stopped it didn't spin again.
Is there something else I should check before I drop $40-$70 for a new fan?

Spend the money and replace the motor.

I did spend the money ($45 at a local appliance parts center) and it works like a champ... Thanks
