Our maytag dishwasher seems to wash ok but it appears that it does not rinse. The dishes seem to be cleaned but have a pretty thick whit powder all over them when the dry cycle is complete. Through testing, it seems that if I turn the rinse cycle on and let the washer run, then open the door, no water is present in the tub or on the dishes. Is there a relay for the rinse that may be defective and causing the machine to not rinse? If so, where do I find the part and get a new one to replace?
Thanks
Fred E.

I have been experiencing exactly your problem with a Maytag PDB2430 dishwasher. I get through all wash cycles and it isn't until the rinse cycle where, like you, if I let it go the dishes are basically baked by the end of it ie foggy and white.
As I haven't been getting any replies either on this site I've been experimenting and watching the cycles closely. If I let it rest between the wash and rinse it seemed to continue to rinse OK until the last rinse cycle where it just filled and only drained. And then when I opened to stop the drain and then closed again it continued just fine. I'm thinking now some sort of overheating is occurring - there is a relay motor (only a $25 part) on my machine which I'm thinking of replacing after I clean all contacts underneath first - I'll keep you posted to see what happens.
