Oven heats up (regular and convection), temp changes on indicator panel until set temp achieved, and beeps. However elements don't turn off. Lock indicator comes on when the oven gets hot enough. Temp sensor has been replaced, clock board, relay board and ribbon cable sent to a service depot but no fault found. Any ideas? JD

Could not find any info using the given Model Number.
Does sound like a control board problem. The reason I would lean towards the control board is that you say "elements do not turn off" cannot see two relays on the relay board sticking closed at the same time. |

Thanks - that's what it looks like - interesting that the cancel button shuts everything off. Unfortunatly, new control boards do not seem to be available unless someone out there knows a source. Will try resoldering the control board and relay board just in case. Hate to scrap the whole stove for this problem. JD

Do a google, there are companies out there that will repair many of the older boards. |

Quote:Could not find any info using the given Model Number. That's because it appears to be a Canadian model. The OP will likely need to contact a *local* Inglis or Canadian Whirlpool dealer or parts supplier to try to trace it. JMO Dan O. www.Appliance411.ca The Appliance Information Site=D~~~~~~

You are correct - a Canadian model. Clock board, relay baord, ribbon cable and sensor were all sent to a local repair depot but they couldn't find a fault. JD

When you are preheating do the elements come on full (bright red).
Since cancel shuts them off you may have a short to the frame and they are running on 120 volts. This is a long shot but a possibility.
A wiring diagram would be a big help here. May need a cross reference to the US unit. I do not have this but perhaps Dan O does or knows of a way to get it. |
