Dryer runs but no heat. Checked the following: thermal fuse = closed Igniter = closed Flame sensor = Closed thermal fuse = closed Gas valve coils check OK cycling thermostat = closed across red and open across vilot Timer checks OK It has gas because I have been about to mess around and get it to fire but cannot recreat my messing around
Local appliance repair man is on a cruise???
Any suggestions?

If the igniter glows and there is gas to the dryer but it does not light then the only failure suspect left is the gas valve. - The part number for the gas valve is AP3083221 Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model GGQ9800LG1Gene.

It has gas and the ingniter does not glow. What to check next?

Check the temperature switch on the control panel. Also the cycling thermostat has to be replaced due to: "open across violet". - The part number for the temperature switch is AP2947360 - The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP3045874 Gene.
