Did the new belt broke right after installation?
Did the washer work with the new belt?
Post as much information as you can.
Gene.

Matag Waher Amana type: Replaced belt, washer worked two days then belt broke again. What I noticed after replacing belt was that motor triped overload once or twice. Could it be bad transmision or some kind of bearing that needs to be replaced?. I turn trans with my hands and it turns easily. seems the problem arises during the spin cycle.

Most likely the problem is a bad transmission. - The part number for the transmission is AP3444949 Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana washer Model SAV5600AWWGene.
