A few problems - basically dishes not getting as clean as they used to.
Rinse aid is clearly not being released resulting in spots on dishes, glasses and silverware.
Thought problem was with drain and cleaned it out from inside washer, finding a half a shell and a pit.
Bottom line problem has not gone away - probably worse.

If there is a white film on glasses and/or white staff built up inside the dishwasher - the cause of the problem is very hard water in an area. I would recommend to use a regular white vinegar to clean the dishwasher. You can find the complete instructions in one of my previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...-buildup-hard-water.htmlGene.

Gene, Thanks for your thoughts but the problem is the rinse aid is not being released into the washer. I have another dishwasher on the other side of the kitchen and it has no problems..... Any thoughts

This is my personal opinion: I do not trust in any of a rinse aids doing more or less good job. The most important of what they don't do is preventing of the calcium built up inside a dishwasher. So if you do have a white film on glasses and/or a white staff inside the dishwasher - the rinse aid is not going to help you. It is very important to chose a right detergent depend on the water hardness in your home. More information on how to do it you can find on my web site. Also I would recommend to check if the dishwasher is getting enough water. If not - it could be cause of this problem. Gene.
