One circuit breaker gets hot, both CBR open after dryer w/heat runs ~10 min. Dryer will run on no heat cycle. Have not opened cabinet.

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool WED5800SG0 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.com See the attachment for the wiring diagram. Could be that you have a grounded element. Unplug the unit and both wires from the heater element. Measure the element, should be around 8 to 12 ohms. Then measure from each element connector to the case, both should be infinite ohms. If not the element is grounded and should be replaced. |
