So, your saying the timer doesn't advance? Does the burner come on? If so, does it cycle off/on during the cycle? Does timer advance on it's own when set to AIR FLUFF cycle?

this model has no timer in any of the heat modes only "Auto Dry" the timer is only for "fluff" (no heat) and it does advance . When you first turn it on igniter glows , gas turns on and it fires up for a short time , after first cycle it just runs and runs no fire up ,,once in a while it will randomly fire up , then same , just run and run ...

Yes, it does use the timer in auto modes. In the early part of the cycle, the only time the timer advances is when the cycling thermostat cycles the burner off. This occurs after the clothes start getting dry. When the burner comes back on, the timer stops advancing. In the latter part of the cycle, a timer contact applies power to the timer motor all the time and the timer advances continuously til end of cycle. You need to do some electrical troubleshooting to determine what's going on. Could be a faulty cycling thermostat or failing gas solenoid coils.
