I just replaced the lid switch assembly, tested it and it worked. Screwed the control panel in and turned on the washer and the fuse blew. What would cause this? Is it possible that I switched the wires around? How can I find out which plug the white wire goes on and which plug the black wire goes on? Thanks for any help.

The white/green wire goes to 30 on the white check switch, black goes to M on same switch. If you had them switched, it would blow the fuse as soon as you turned the washer on with lid closed.

Thanks Eric. I had them switched. Could I have damaged the switch as well as the fuse? Or should correcting the wires and changing the fuse correct the problem?
