Lights are on. Fans are running. Not cooling due to compressor not running. Help, please. Thanks.

Check the compressor, should be warm and vibrating and the condenser coils warm all over.

After plugging the refrigerator in, the compressor makes a low humming/buzzing sound with slight vibration for a few seconds. Then there is an audible click, and everything stops. Sounds like a switch/relay in the compressor control box.

If you have a meter, check for a compressor short to ground. If no meter, you can try a new start device AP3119971, just follow the directions with the kit.
