Refrigerator won't cool. Compressor clicks on for 14 seconds and then clicks off. Prior to problem I smelled an electrical burn smell. There are no burned wires and the fan and lights work OK. The compressor doesn't show any external evidence of over heating. I am familiar with electrical measurements. Can I do a voltage or Ohm check on the compressor to see if it is OK?

Pry the compressor side cover off and check the start device, probably burned. Replace it with part AP3885081
