While the oven was in self-cleaning mode, my wife attempted to heat something in the microwave. After she hit the start button the microwave went dead. I checked all of the breakers in the house panel and none were tripped. The microwave makes no sounds and no lights appear
The microwave and the oven each have their own displays. The oven continues to work fine.

You probably need to replace the 20 Amp fuse. It's behind the microwave control panel but not sure if you need to pull the microwave out or not. Remember to shut off power first.
