Slow flow from water dispenser and occasional hollow ice cubes. Replaced water valve and still same problem. Replaced water filter and momentarliy got a good strong stream, but within a few seconds went back to same problem. Have filled several tall glasses of water, well beyond 2 minutes to get rid of any trapped air. Flow is a little better but not what it used to be before this whole problem started. Out of ideas. Please help.

Did you check the incoming water pressure? Where it's coming from?
Gene.

Gene. Full water pressure from the valve on the wall going into the fridge.

Not yet. Will have to empty the fridge in order to change the filter head and have too much food in there right now. This looks to be the culprit so at the earliest chance I'm going to order this part and switch it out.

Trying to feed the old tubes, and eventually the new ones, through the back of the fridge but there is a metal fitting, a compression fitting I believe, on one of the tubes that will not fit through the hole in the foam insulation in the back of the fridge. How do I feed the tubes through with this fitting? Thanks.

The sealed system metal tubes are coming into the freezer while the water filter head tubing is coming into the refrigerator very different way at the top of the unit. Click on the part number and scroll down to the Q&A section for more information. Gene.

Thanks Gene for all of your help. Replacing the water filter head fixed the problem. The only snag was that I didn't realize there was a little foam piece that pops out in order to feed the lines through the opening near the filter head. Once I figured that out it took less than 15 min to change it out. Thanks again.
