Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 5/15/2009(UTC) Posts: 1		Oven wont light unless I tap the safety valve then it will light but it still goes out after a while and I have to tap the safety valve again to restart it.Do I need the igniter, the safety valve or both?

You have to check the current drawn by the igniter. If it's 3.2 Amps or less then the igniter is definitely bad. If you do not have a meter to perform this test then you probably have to replace both parts. - The part number for the oven igniter is AP2020569 - The part number for the gas safety valve is AP2022762 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for GE JGBS20BEA2WH \| AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.
