Gene, My model # is ED5LHAXMQ10. After replacing the dual solenoid, I noticed that I have no infered beam when I simulate a closed door. I ordered and replaced both receiver and emitter and still no beam. Any ideas? Thanks Mark

Hi Mark,

Can you explain more specifically how did you do this test?

Gene.

Gene,
I also have a similar ice-maker issue. When I close the flapper door, there is no LED light at all. I tried filling the tray manually - it then freezes and empties the ice out eventually, but does not refill.
Our model # is KSRS25IKSS01.
Any suggestions? The water works fine in the door..........

I have a similar problem. When I open the door the red light flashes a blinking light. I have checked the water filler tube & it is not clogged. It is model KRSI25FNBL00. The dispenser sends out the ice left in the hopper but it is almost empty. A new water filter did not help.

Gene,
If the flopper is shut and the status LED is still flashing on the right side and the ice maker still isn't working. Then what?

That was stopped with two p's.

Open the freezer door, close the flopper on the left side and watch the status LED on the right side. If the LED stays "on" then the ice maker is the culprit.

- The part number for the ice maker is AP3182733

David,

Then a new optic PC board kit should fix it.

- The PC board kit Part number: AP3137510

They are located in the freezer on both sides of the frame (#26 & #38 on the diagram).

Make sure the temperature in the freezer is bellow 10°F and the "on-off" switch on the right side is on.

Pull the ice maker out (the instructions are attached) but do not disconnect the wire harness.

Remove the ice maker head cover and check for 120VAC between "N" & "L" test points. Make sure the test probes are 1/2" in.

If there is 120VAC then using an insulated piece of wire (14 GA), short points "T" & "H" to run the motor. Leave the jumper in for a half of a revolution and remove it. The water valve should be energized in the last half of the revolution.

Post the results.
