Ican,t use just one side of the dual burner. If i turn on the single both come on . Any thoughts? Thanks in advance chris

Most likely the infinite switch has failed and now powers both elements. We would needs to know which burner is the problem and the last digits of the models number to get you going in the right direction.

Thanks for the quick reply Brian. It is the left front burner with two elements. The model number is yker c600 hw Kitchen aid SKU#415/ykerc600hw023540

This is the dual burner infinite switch ( AP3751872) for your model. The panel is held in place by some screws under the panel just above the door. Turn the power off first, and then replace the switch.
