 hi,my kenmore washer fills normal and starts washing, but when it gets to the next task (pause cool down or rinse or spin)it stops working. I have to advance it manually to the next task. I replaced the timer, because i was told that was the solution...it was not. Can you help me please?

When the washer stops, can you get it to run right away. If not, you have an overheating motor that's probably bad. You can pull the motor out and check operation to see if it still overheats .

yes,it starts right away, what is not doing at all is rinsing, even if i advance it manually. it washes, spins, fills normally......when it gets to rinse...stops and when it gets to pause cool down task, which is one of the tasks before rinsing on -permanent press ll -it just wont advance. my main problem is that is not rinsing at all. thank you very much, really appreciate your help.

Check your water supply valve. It may be clogged on the cold side.

I believe you found the solution, hot water goes in but cold water doesn't.
there is an external trap or filter,i cleaned it up,but there must still be an internal trap that is clogged up....how do i get to it? thanks.
