The lights on the contol panel come on and when I press "start" within 2 minutes you can hear the motor running, but no water comes into the dishwasher. Whenever we check the water hose, it is running fine up to the connection at the dishwasher. What could be wrong?

Check that the overflow float is not stuck in the up position. This switch kills power to the fill valve.
Check that the fill valve is getting 120 volts when the unit should be filling.
If it is getting voltage then either the valve is toast or the filter screen on the input side of the valve is clogged solid. Check/clean the filter screen. Do not permanently remove it from the valve as it is there to keep crud out of the valve. Which could hold it open and cause a flood. |

Unplug/remove power from the unit and check the overfill switch. It should be 0 ohms. Could be the switch is broken internally.
If OK, check the wires from the control board to the valve/switch combo.
If they are good, odds are that the control board needs replacing. |
