I started to have a gas smell all the time. Hired service tech to look at. He determined i had a leak at the top of my regulator. I have LP gas hookup. It is leaking where you flip the gas adjustment (flow) to lp from natural. I have had the outside regulator replaced that controls my gas flow from outdoor tank. I have replaced regulator on stove 3 times, and each time they start to leak out of top of regulator. Service apoligized and refunded my service call money. They said regulator should never leak there and they can't figure out. I am stumped!!!!!!!

Quote:They said regulator should never leak there and they can't figure out. I am stumped! Me too. Regulators fail very infrequently to begin with. Maybe you have some insects that find the material the seal there is made from particularly tasty and are eating it away?? Sorry, no other ideas besides maybe seeing if you can find an after market regulator permanently set for propane without the switch? Dan O. www.Appliance411.com The Appliance Information Site=D~~~~~~
