I have a Whirlpool KGST307HBS4.

Recently when heating the oven there is a strong gas odor that fills our kitchen and is very noticeable. From my research I believe its caused by a bad ignitor. Should I replace it with the part listed below?

The oven is now failing to heat up, whether its the bottom heater, or the broiler. Both top and bottom elements glow red, so I know they are working, but the oven is not heating.

Would this be a problem with the temperature sensor? Is there some type of thermostat that opens the gas valve?

Thanks

Mark
