I would greatly appreciate help with my ice maker not making ice. The fridge is 6 years old and did not have a water line hooked up to it until last month. I hooked the water line up, flushed the system and waited for ice, but it never made any. I did some trouble shooting on my own, ie hooking up multi-meter to check the voltage to water inlet valves, sufficient pressure, replaced water filter, etc. and couldn't find the problem.

I had a technician come out to diagnose the problem and he said we needed to replace the ice maker itself, he also recommended replacing the IR receiver control board even though it tested good. His estimate was over $400.

I ordered and replaced the ice maker assembly myself without issues. It was a very easy job, but I'm still not getting any ice. I am getting water out of the water dispenser. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.
