Short answer, yes you could miswire this and cause a short that trips your breaker.

Does it trip the breaker as soon as you start it or when you try to just power it up? If it powers up normally try to start air dry and see if the same happens, in air dry the computer will not (or should not) try to close the relay that supplies it's side of the 120V to the element.
Also did you change the entire element duct DC97-14486A?

Just FYI: Samsung parts diagrams are unreliable due to poor translation, some Samsung parts diagrams use terminology that is used for distinctly different parts in all other brands.
For instance what we would call the "thermal cutoff" on the element duct most dryers is labeled as a "thermal fuse" on some Samsung diagrams. The actual part we'd call a thermal fuse is the common term for a safety thermostat on the blower housing that opens the motor circuit and stops the machine from running.

The confusing terminology makes discussing Samsung appliance parts difficult at times. You may find it easier to use the part # and/or describe the location.
