I have the Samsung Stainless Steel washer dryer set. I recently replaced the heating element as the original broke and showed signs of overheating, however didn't get any error codes of it overheating. I replaced it with a aftermarket from a reputable appliance store and my install went without issue. I also cleaned and vacuumed everywhere including the lint trap and blower wheel as well as the dryer vent leading out of the house. I am now getting a error code towards the end of a drying cycle error code "HE" overheating. It's a mystery to me because I cleaned all the vents and ensured that the install was done right. I have great air flow out of the house. is my thermostat or thermistor no good?? MODEL# DV405ETPASU/AC Edited by user Wednesday, July 7, 2021 11:03:58 AM(UTC)

I don't know much about Samsung appliances. I do know quite a bit about appliances and how they fail.
Yours sounds like your heat relay might be getting stuck on. The contacts become burnt after awhile and can weld themselves together, causing the dryer to overheat. I'd check out the relay board.
