My maytag dryer no power and no light. I check thermal fuse and replace it. Also check electicity wire. It looks everything is good, but no power and no light. It doesn't work.
Does anyone have idea? How to fix it.
Thanks

Here are your parts includes a wiring diagram. Parts for Maytag HYE3460AYW Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comNot sure how you checked the power but you have to measure it with a meter. If you do not own a meter then you can narrow it down some by putting the unit in timed dry mid cycle. The timer should advance if not then it is probably a power problem and not a machine problem. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. For your symptoms it is the L1 to Neutral, 120 volts that is important. Check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Do this with the heater off and on. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |
