Maytag MDS308DAWW gas dryerI recently replaced:- rear bulkhead drum roller wheels (installed at the same time as new axles below) - drum roller wheel axles/brackets due to incessant squeaking of previously replaced wheels. Drier still occasionally squeaks when running, lessens after heating up. …about 1.5 years ago replaced the belt, idler pulley and front drum guides. Despite all that, the drier drum rotation has recently started turning slowly with a load and feels more resistant to turning by hand via the baffles. I've checked:- drum wheels are free spinning - belt has ribs against drum surface, placed on existing wear spot and routed properly around idler and motor pulley - front of drum is riding on guides - rear felt seal is okay - front felt seal did have some creasing at some point, but drum is riding in it seemingly properly. - ran dryer on tumble while trying to apply pressure on baffle. I can't barely stop the drum from turning so it seems I'm getting good grip via the belt and the motor doesn't seem overly weak. Any thoughts on what to try and check next?
