My microwave run constantly when plugged in with door open or closed. What is the likely cause and can the possible defective part(s) be tested? Scott

You likely have a faulty door switch. It is just the fan running, correct? The unit is not actually heating, is it?

Uncertain if unit is heating or not. Will have to check that aspect. Unit has 3 door switches. How would I know which one(s) might be defective?

It will be the top or the bottom one, the middle is not suspect. You can test them for continuity or replace them both, they are not expensive and are available below. They are the same switch, so you would need to order two. GE WB24X829 Door Sensing Switch - AppliancePartsPros.com

GE WB24X829 Door Sensing Switch - AppliancePartsPros.com Ninja, Thank you for your response. I will meter both the top and bottom out of curiosity but intend to replace both per your suggestion. Much cheaper than a new microwave purchase and I have it apart now anyhow. Scott
