Noticed a week or two ago that the refirgerator was not as cool as normal (was about 45-50 degrees). Setting was at the middle cooling setting for refrig and freezer. Turned refrig one one setting colder and compressor kicked on and it returned to normal temp. Went out of town and got a call that the ice in ice maker had thawed and ran out the ice chute onto the floor. Instructed caller to turn freezer and refrigerator dials to coldest. Got home a day later and everything was fine. Next day, temp in refrig was warmer. Moderately cold air was blowing out of vent. Can hear compressor running and hear fan in freezer running, but compressor doesn't seem to turn off. Where should I start looking for the problem? Evaporator coil?

The freezer has settings for A, B, C, and coldest and the refrigerator has settings from 0 to 5.
