Looking for help on following symptoms. Stops cooling after 24-48 hrs. Check and no power from board relay plug outputs.

Unplug unit and power back up and board relay kicks and compressor starts running. Fridge cools normally for upto 1 week but usually less.

Board looks good, relay and overload look and work good. Compressor is quiet and runs efficient.

Where I am stuck is what is causing the board relay not to kick when it should be cooling. Im thinking thermistor or bad board. Is my logic correct?

Look for a bad solder joint behind the big power relay on the board.

Hi Richappy. I already resoldered one black pin joint on the board. No other indications. All other joints look good and no bad or swollen caps. Wondering what else could be stopping the board relay from kicking. Thanks!

Bad pin was on comp relay. The pin looks soldered well now. Got good solder flow to board.

Spoke to a very good senior ac tech today. Said board is bad...probably in evap fan circuit. Said new board and evap motor will fix my issue. Recommended changing defrost heater and defrost thermostat while I'm in there even though circuit had continuity and ohms our correctly. Said the comps in this unit will go for years so spend the money on it and you will get another 5 years out of it...but install a high end appliance surge protector. I ordered a monster. Hope others can benefit from this post.
