My Frigidaire upright freezer is sporadically shutting down. The first sign is the inside light is off. Then it stops cooling. Then the digital thermostat control shows a 0. I can repair it by unplugging it from the wall outlet and plugging it back in until it does it again. What part do I need to replace? Or is it an electrical short some where?

Or is it an electrical short some where? I think I have virtually the same problem as Foor (10-12-13). Over a period of 3 weeks, the freezer stopped running, or had no digital display or light in the freezer compartment, or only a partial digital display. Each condition was immediately corected by unplugging the freezer from the outlet and then plugging it back in. Help! Thanks
