Freezer interior light come on indicator lights still light no other signs of life no noise has been unplugged long enough to have defrosted

Same appliance with the same problem. It simply shut off and will not restart.

I turned the dial on the defrost timer and also turned the thermostat to the off position and then back on. It came back to life, but I still replaced the thermostat, as that seemed like the only thing that was questionable.

Manually turn the defrost timer to make sure it's not stuck in defrost. If not stuck in defrost, check t-stat to make sure it's supplying current for the compressor. Replace which ever one isn't functioning properly.
