hello all and thanks for looking. I have an lg dryer and when I hit start all I get is a humming noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I cannot find any info on the given model number.
If you are sure that the humming is coming from the motor, try manually rotating the drum in the correct direction. It should turn fairly easily.
If it does then odds are that your motor needs replacing.
Could also be that it is clogged solid with lint and this is jamming the centrifugal switch mechanism in the activated position. |
