After no luck with running power back to the dishwasher, I turned the breaker back off and traced the wires a little further. Behind the face of the unit, there is a white circuit board that is obviously fried. Thank you for all of your terrific guidance. Two thumbs way up;)

Remove the inner door panel and check the door switches. Make sure they are properly engaged when the door is locked. If there is nothing wrong with the door switches, replace the control board. - The control board assembly Part number: WD21X10247
Updated information. I did not see your last post and did not note that you found the problem. Gene.
