We a had near lightning strike on our house and a surge came through and knocked out our microwave and now the diswashers runs but will not cycle nor shutoff. Is the circuit board fried or is there a reset that may help? It comes on when you shut the door and is not responsive to the cycle buttons even though they light up and the electronic timer indicator counts down but doesnt change to rinse or any other function

open up the control panel and see if you smell anything burnt or see any burnt wires or boards.....also follow the harness throughout the whole unit and see if you see any further damage as well. After your done doing that ohm out the heat element, all thermostats on unit, the drain pump, the sump pump etc etc...........

Odds are high that the control board is toast. Transistors blow faster than any circuit breaker or fuse. |
