my question is this,
My Machine is not going into the agitation cycle , and the water level is not being controlled, however the basket will spin freely in the spin cycle, I just recently put a new motor belt on and everytjing there checks out fine, is this problem related to the timer switch.

Yes, It sure will!!!! The motor will not get power until the water level switch is satisfied, and you said the water level was NOT being controled. Lift the top of the washer and follow the 1/4" tube from the bottom of the tub up to the pressure switch. check the tube carefully, if its OK, Replace the switch!!!:)
