Good evening. My dryer will run, but will not heat. Where do I start to figure out what needs to be repaired/replaced?

This may sound completely idiotic, hubby & I are both pretty handy, but I am assuming that this is accessible through the back of the dryer, is that correct?

I will give the info to hubby tonight & hopefully have some answers then.
