I'm new to this, so please bear with me. I have a Kenmore washer, model 417.43142300, that won't do anything. My wife put a load of wash in last night, and this morning she couldn't get it to turn on. I can't get it to fill up, or seem to get any power out of it. It seems like it just died. I took apart the back pannel, and followed the trouble shooting directions on the wiring diagram. It seems to me that it may need a new speed control board. What do you guys think? Thanks for any help. I sure could use it.
Chris

This is a Frigidaire made Kenmore brand model, and the three thing that tend to go wrong with it are the support system, door lock assembly and speed control board. Obviously your problem is not with the support system, which is good as that problem is usually fatal. You first need to see if power is getting to the timer/control, and if so then follow the trouble shooting techniques in the service manual to check it out. Here is the service manual. http://frigidaireservicetips.co..._TumbleActionWashers.pdf

Thank you so much for your help! I do believe it is the door lock, now that I have taken the time to check it out. I will keep you posted when I install the new one I ordered. Thanks!

Great, let us know how things work out. If you ordered the parts from this site and they do not fix the problem you can return them for a refund. See the returns policy.

Alright, I need more advice. Things didn't work out very good. I replaced the door lock, and the control timer. What do you suggest now? It still doesn't do anything. I have the water hooked up, and the power cord pluged in, and when I pull the knob, nothing happens. Do you think it is the speed control board? Thanks for all your help!

Did you check to see if you are getting power to the main control unit?
