You need to do 3 quick checks :

1) Can you hear a fan running,when you open the freezer door ?

2) Look on the back wall of the freezer compartment, do you see a heavy build up of snow, frost or ice ?

3) Check your controls, did they get reset / moved by accident or mistake ?

I think you may have a defrost problem or inoperable evaporator fan.

I'm not aware of current labor or parts charges, but I would think the cost would be in your budget range.

You may have solved your problem, when you cleaned all the dust and debris from the condenser coil and compressor compartment.:confused:

Are you sure there is nothing blocking the air tunnels (1 is up near the ceiling and 1 is down near the crisper drawers,and both are on the left wall of the fresh food compartment. If those are blocked by an article, the air flow is restricted and the fresh food compartment gets warm.

And you're sure when you opened the freezer door you could hear and, maybe even feel the evaporator fan running ?

And your control knobs are at the right setting(s) ?

The frost(snow) on the wall, indicates a failed defrost cycle component.

Any 1 of 3 components could have failed:

Defrost timer or control
Defrost heater
Defrost thermostat

Turn your fridge off for a few hours(8 to 10), or when you go to bed.
and turn it back on after that, it should work satisfactory for a few days(3 to 5) before you start having a problem with the cooling.

I don't know what you have in mind, as far as repairing your fridge, test and replace the needed part(s) just replace the part(s), or etc.

Either way, I think you'll still be within your budget.
