My dryer seems to be working ok i see the ignitor get red hot and ignites the gas, But prior to it igniting i smell gas. inside the house and out by the vent. any thoughts?

You might want to call a local gas company to detect and pinpoint the gas leak and then post the results.

Post the complete model number of the dryer.
