I have a kenmore 80 series washer model 110.23832100. The timer goes through the entire cycle but the washer only goes through the wash cycle. No rince or spin cycle. Also i had noticed in the last few weeks when it did go through all the cycles, the clothes would still be partially soaked. i'm not sure whether it was not completely draining or spinning thoroughly.

HELP!!!

Thanks,

Gilbert

No, it doesn't drain. it fills, washes then just stops aggitating when the timer reaches the end.

The first thing i would do is check the lid switch (#11 on the diagram).

- The lid switch Part number: AP3100001
Part number: AP3100001

No, it does not drain. It fills, washes then just stops aggitating when the timer reaches the end. it does the same thing on all cycles.

is it pretty much a open/close circuit switch or is there more to it? can i just just check for continuity?

The first thing you can check if it does click when you close the lid. You can check it for continuity as well.

My washer will do the same as Gilberts, but I will have to run the spin cycle to get the rest of the water out. Could this also be caused by the lid switch and how can I test it to make sure?

Any help would be great!!

Thanks,
