Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/28/2009(UTC) Posts: 1,648		It is either the icemaker or the water valve. Some parts on the icemaker can be replaced so it is possible to repair the icemaker. It may have the Whirlpool type icemaker pull the front off the icemaker and if you see test holes marked with letters this page may help Whirlpool Icemaker Repair Guide if this is not the type icemaker your refrigerator has post your model number.

However, It Takes For Ever For The Ice To Drop. Is There Any Way To Speed Up The Production Of The Ice. We Are Heavy Ice Users, And There Is Never Enough Ice In The Bin.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/28/2009(UTC) Posts: 1,648		It is normal for it to take 24 hours to fill the ice bin and there is not much you can do the speed things up. It should drop about once an hour or so give or take depending on the cube size and the temperature in the freezer.
