In the beginning my dryer stayed HOT and I had to replace the thermostat once, everything worked fine for about 9 months, now it did the same thing and I again Replaced the hi limited thermostat again but now My dryer now stops on me after 2 minutes of running. I have changed the HiLimiter thermostat. With the top off, I can see the heating element coming on and going off which seems ok but the problem is now that it stops running ater about 2 to 3 minutes of running and the front lights blink and beep at the same time. I cleaned everything, lint free, vents cleaned even put a big blower in the exhaust vent going outside to make sure that is not plug, everything ok there also. Also when the machine is OFF the lights will come on and blink and beep. Is there a CODE RESET I have to do to stop these lights from flashing and beeping? Please, anyone help Rick

Those blinking lights are error codes. You need to look inside the dryer, either in the service panel in back or the bottom panel in front and find the tech sheet. It will tell you how to troubleshoot your machine and what the error code are.
Good luck.

I did what you told me and everything in the TEST area worked out perfect, but in the ERROR CODE area, I Get 6 blinks on the four LCD lights and 2 blinks on the Start LCD which means that the error code is: 62. but in the manual it does not say anything about Code 62, The only thing close to that code is 68 in the manual but no 62???? Do you know what 62 is? And what the problem could be. Thank you for your time and concern. Ricky

No, I do not see a code E62, and I doubt you have an E68 problems.
The best guess is that you have a main control board failure, but unfortuntely the only way to be certain is to replace the board and see if that fixes it, and that is an expensive item.
Also, in case you did not know, the only thing GE about your machine is the GE logo on it. It is Frigidaire Gallery Dryer.
If you decide to replace the main board, let us know how it turns out.
Good luck.

If the Control Board would be bad, would it still have given me all the 1 to 6 Diagnostic test results perfect with each one doing what it should do? Doesn't this work off the control Board? That's a lot of money to spend just to see if it's that. Could it be a BAD Circuit breaker on the motor shutting it up like that after 30 seconds of running? Thank you for your time on this. I really don't know where to go from here..... I rather just go and buy a New Dryer and get a 10 Year warranty with it and be done of it. I Only had these machine for one and half year and already TWO THermostat's and now this....

I sympathize with your plight, this is the world of micro processor controls where you cannot get any good reliable diagnosis. If you call a tech to your site he or she will diagnose the problem by replacing the board. If it fixes it, that was the problem. If it does not, then it was not the problem. You can have a motor failure, but I do not believe there is any switch or relay on the motor that is causing this. I suggested a board failure because the troubleshooting showed an error code that does not exist. About all the I can do for you now is provide you with a copy of the service manual. Here it is. http://frigidaireservicetips.co...rGoodandBetterModels.pdfIf you decide to replace the machine a basic no frills dryer with mechanical controls will do a fine job for you. Good luck, sorry not to be more definitive but that's the microprocessor world we live in.
