Customer overloaded the washer with towels, motor LED flashed nine times. Diagnostics say brake resistor failed. Customer did the clear error code procedure. I checked web site HydroWave GE Washer Repair Guide. At that site, they say to replace the motor. Is this necessary, the washer now spins up to speed?

For whatever reason these codes seem to come up for no reason. I called GE tech support and they said only replace the motor if the code returns.
