I read a few post of the same problem, but thought I would ask anyways. I do not know the age as I bought the home with it already here. Oven trys to ignite (sparks 5 or so time) and then shuts off gas. I do smell some gas. Cook top and broiler work, but no oven. The gas company worked on meter this week, but used the oven once after and it was fine. Is it possible that it got dirty and caused this problem. From your parts list I see a Part Number: AP3598752? Should I replace it or is it cleanable? Thank you for your help!

Hi Larry,

Your range made by Whirlpool, not Frigidaire.

This is one of most common problems with Whirlpool Direct Ignition Ovens for more than decade.

The first thing I would do is check the gas valve/regulator (#15 on the diagram). You can use the instructions from one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...l-oven-wont-heat-up.html

Post the results.
