My dishwasher has developed a recent problem where it stays on the wash cycle indefinitely. It does not proceed to the rinse cycle and does not shut down. I can manually drain the dishwasher by holding the correct buttons. Is it the control module or the water intake valve or do you have another suggestion.

Very likely the part of the control module which operates with the water heating has gone bad. Open the control panel and inspect the control module. If there is nothing wrong then check the heating circuit.

Hi:

There was one connection of a relay I think to the controller circuit board that looked blackened and had lost the solder therefore not making a connection. A retouch of solder and bingo all is well again.
