I have been following a lot of the suggestions I have read but still unsure of the actual problem.
I have a pullout drawer freezer with an automatic icemaker. No water is coming into the icemaker (I can not visably see how to disconnect the water line to see if it is clogged -it is a very tiny tight area?).
The water dispenser which is located inside the refrigerator - works fine and is cold. The temp of the refrig and freezer are accurate.
There is a constant clicking? noise or more of a loud creeky barn door sound, that never stops and is loud. (I read the clicking noise sights as well). When I open the freezer drawer, it does stop - until I shut the door again. When I shut off the freezer and refrig, the noise continues. The only way to stop it is to have it unplugged - which it has been for a few days now.
Where is the noise coming from - is this a compressor issue? How does this relate to the icemaker? How do I disassemble the water line to see if it is clogged (if this would even be a possible cause?). Thank you in advance for any help.
