Model Number: lnc7764a71 Brand: Admiral Age: More than 10 years
my electric dryer stops part way through the cycle. The dryer stops and the light goes out. The dial stops turning. When it cools down, I can restart it. I replaced the thermostat last year and everything worked well, but now the problem is back. I have cleaned the dust out and checked the vent for obstruction, but none was found.

I would replace all the thermostats and thermal fuse. Before you commit to the expense, though, pull them out (one at a time), and make sure there is no film or dirt build-up on them. This could cause them to register the temperature incorrectly.
