I went to run a load of dishes this morning and my dishwasher would not run. I put the detergent pack in, closed the door and cranked the dial like always and it hums. It seems that it isn't pulling any water in. I checked the supply line and it is open. Any suggestion before I buy a new one?

If you're able, pull the connectors off the water inlet valve, and attach an extension cord (with temporary terminals [you can find them really cheaplyat Walmart]) to it and plug it in just long enough to see if water flows into the DW. If it does, then your problem may be in the timer or the door switch.
