budney, If it's a whirling sound check all the little holes inside the tub for anything that may be stuck in a hole(like a nail, screw, bra wire, etc....) You will probably want to use a flash light to look. May get lucky and that's all it is. Nat

I had the tub replaced 3 years ago and lately during the final spin cycle a loud noise occurs and only during the final spin cycle. Is it possible that the strut is going bad?

Is it a bearing noise, or a thumping sound.

It starts with a 2 or 3 thump and then it turns into a bearing noise, I guess I answer my own question?

I would pull the bottom front panel and check for a busted shock. Also, if you have an amprobe, check the total current into the washer at the power plug. If the current draw in high speed spin is getting near 3 amps, your speed control board/motor will fail soon with continued running.

Thanks, I had the inner tub, motor and motor controlbroard replace 3 years ago just wondering if there is any warranty on Magtag OEM parts.
